FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone
The FIFA World Cup 2026 Fan Zone on the National Mall transforms Washington, D.C.’s most famous public space into a vibrant headquarters for soccer fans during America’s 250th anniversary celebration. Set against the backdrop of iconic monuments, this free, immersive experience offers live match viewing on a massive screen, interactive exhibits, youth programming, cultural showcases, and a variety of food and music. From first-time fans to lifelong supporters, visitors of all ages can gather to watch the world’s game in a festive, family-friendly atmosphere that emphasizes unity, competition, and freedom. The fan zone runs the full length of the tournament, from the opening match on June 11 through the final on July 19, with extended hours for all USA matches and special hours on July 4.
When: Thursday, June 11, 2026 through Sunday, July 19, 2026. The fan zone opens each day one hour before the first scheduled match and closes one hour after the final match concludes. During the Group Stage (June 11–27), matches starting after 7:00 PM ET are not shown, except all USA games regardless of time. From the Round of 16 (June 28) onward, all matches are shown regardless of time. On Saturday, July 4, the fan zone remains open until midnight ET. The event opens at 2:00 PM ET on June 11 and closes at 6:00 PM ET on July 19.
Showtimes: A detailed daily match schedule is provided. For example, on June 12 (Friday), matches are at 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM USA; on June 25 (Thursday), matches at 4:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 7:00 PM, 10:00 PM, and 10:00 PM USA; on July 4 (Saturday), matches at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM; and on July 19 (Sunday, Final), a match at 3:00 PM.
