Passion Pit - The Pretty Penny Tour

Passion Pit brings their "Pretty Penny Tour" to Washington, D.C.'s 9:30 Club for two nights, with support from Arden Jones. The band, led by Michael Angelakos, has been a defining force in indie pop since their 2008 debut EP *Chunk of Change*, which produced the platinum hit “Sleepyhead.” Known for soaring synth melodies and emotionally charged lyrics, Passion Pit has released four studio albums—*Manners* (2009), *Gossamer* (2012), *Kindred* (2015), and the self-released *Tremendous Sea of Love* (2017)—and Angelakos has been an outspoken advocate for mental health awareness throughout his career. The current lineup includes Angelakos alongside Giuliano Pizzulo, Eric Scullin, Denzel Cox, and Ben Barter. Opening act Arden Jones rounds out the evening.
