Phunktions Dance Team Dance Workshop

Phunktions Dance Company leads this welcoming workshop at NextNOW Fest, inviting participants to learn a new dance while connecting with fellow dance enthusiasts. No previous experience is required; dancers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate.

The workshop takes place in Dance Studio 2 at The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. Participants must sign waivers, and shoes must be removed before entering the studio; cubbies outside the studio are available for storing shoes.

Participant requirements: A signed waiver is required. Shoes must be removed before entering the dance studio.

Accessibility: The Clarice offers wheelchair-accessible seating, size-inclusive seating, large-print programs, assisted-listening devices, adult and child-friendly sensory packs, and quiet spaces upon request. ASL interpretation, audio description, and captioning are available for select events or by patron request at least six weeks in advance.

Festival: This workshop is part of NextNOW Fest, The Clarice’s multi-day arts festival featuring performances and other experiences by artists from around the country and the University of Maryland campus. The festival is open to the general public.
