Andrew Duncanson & Take A Ride • Featuring Michael Peloquin

Andrew Duncanson & Take A Ride bring horn-driven contemporary blues to Hank Dietle’s Tavern, combining soul, blues, funk, roots rock, and original songwriting into a distinctive, high-energy sound. The band is led by Andrew Duncanson’s powerful, soulful vocals and a prominent horn section, with veteran arranger, saxophonist, and harmonica player Michael Peloquin featured.

Duncanson has spent more than two decades performing in juke joints across California and Europe and has had more than 100 of his songs recorded. His smooth yet rugged vocal style and commitment to the soul tradition anchor Take A Ride’s original material, while Peloquin’s expressive, sophisticated horn arrangements add depth and drive. The band’s sound draws on the passionate singers and horn sections associated with classic soul and R&B, while giving those elements a contemporary blues and roots-rock setting.
