Outlaw Printmakers MMXXVI
Outlaw Printmakers MMXXVI is a group exhibition featuring 15 artists whose printmaking works outside traditional artistic systems. Their politically satirical and socially engaged work questions conventions and embraces unconventional subjects, ranging from monsters, devils, skulls, and robots to Pez dispensers. The exhibition includes detailed woodcuts, layered screenprints, print collages, and other printmaking approaches.
The participating artists come from across the United States, Mexico, Canada, and Scotland. Although the collective is known for challenging the art establishment, many members have work in major museum collections, teach at the university level, and have extensive national and international exhibition records. Some works include mature themes and edgy content.
