Featuring: Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company

Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company presents *Vectors*, a contemporary dance work inspired by the kinetic sculptures of George Rickey. Performed in the Great Hall of The Kreeger Museum, the piece turns the experience of viewing Rickey’s precisely balanced steel forms into a dialogue among movement, sculpture, architecture, wind, and the human body.

The choreography draws on Rickey’s quiet rotations and wind-driven motion, translating them into fluid spirals, suspended balances, and sweeping pathways. Through themes of motion, balance, and transformation, the work explores how performers, artworks, architecture, and viewers continually influence one another. The performance is followed by a discussion with choreographer Dana Tai Soon Burgess and an outdoor wine reception, including an opportunity to view Rickey’s *Two Lines Oblique Down III*.

When: Saturday, September 26, 2026.
