Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets

Jazz Jams at Busboys and Poets is a free community jazz night presented by Clarice Presents in partnership with Busboys and Poets. The evening features D.C.-based saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed, who performs a set with his band before inviting the audience to join an open jam session. Attendees may bring their own instruments and are welcome to call a tune, though participating in the jam is entirely optional.

The event takes place at Busboys and Poets Hyattsville on Wednesday, March 31, 2027, with the band’s set beginning at 7:30 pm. Admission is free and no tickets are required. Support for Clarice Presents comes from the Maryland State Arts Council, and the event is made possible by Busboys and Poets.
