Jeremy Pelt, a highly regarded trumpeter in the contemporary jazz scene, brings his virtuosic playing and dynamic compositions to Blues Alley for a single evening performance. Pelt has built a distinguished career collaborating with legends such as the Mingus Big Band, Ravi Coltrane, Jimmy Heath, Cedar Walton, and Nancy Wilson, and he has been a member of the Roy Hargrove Big Band, the Village Vanguard Orchestra, and the Duke Ellington Big Band. As a leader he has released ten critically acclaimed albums, earning him repeated "Rising Star" honors from DownBeat Magazine and the Jazz Journalist Association. He is currently touring in support of his latest recording, "Soundtrack," which showcases his modern yet nuanced approach to jazz trumpet.
