Cuban Dance With DC Casineros
Cuban Dance with DC Casineros features dance instruction and a social dance inspired by Afro-Cuban, Afro-Caribbean, and French and English contra-dance traditions. Participants will move in a circle, changing partners in response to a caller, combining the familiar structure of contra or square dancing with a distinctly Cuban style.
DC Casineros Dance Company has presented Rueda de Casino social dances at Glen Echo Park for several years. Company co-directors Amanda Gill and Adrian Valdivia have taught and performed at venues throughout the area and also have experience with dance as therapy.
