Historically Speaking: What a Dream Can Do: Building a Collection, Preserving a Legacy

Historically Speaking: *What a Dream Can Do: Building a Collection, Preserving a Legacy* brings together the editors of *What a Dream Can Do* for a conversation about collecting, preservation, and the stories held within objects. Presented in celebration of the National Museum of African American History and Culture’s 10th anniversary, the discussion will consider selected objects that reflect centuries of African American creativity, resistance, determination, and joy. The program concludes with a book signing.

The conversation features Deputy Director Michelle D. Commander, Assistant Director for Collections Michèle Gates Moresi, and Senior Editor for Publications Douglas Remley. Michel Martin, host of NPR’s *Morning Edition*, will moderate.
