HIROSHIMA brings its East Meets West contemporary jazz to Birchmere, led by bandleader Dan Kuramoto. The group’s distinctive sound reflects more than three decades of musical activity, and the performance includes material from *Departure*, its 18th recording.

*Departure* represents the band’s continuing evolution beyond its smooth-jazz roots, combining highly skilled playing with a broad emotional range. The music moves through hypnotic, tranquil, exciting, and uplifting moods while maintaining Hiroshima’s reputation for originality, consistency, and innovation.
