Handle With Care

Handle With Care is an immersive, participatory theatre experience by Belgian collective Ontroerend Goed. Presented literally as a show in a box, it has no actors, technicians, prewritten scenes, or fixed script governing when audiences enter and leave. Instead, participants are guided through instructions, texts, questions, and objects, creating a one-time performance shaped by the people in the room.

The experience lasts about an hour and gives the audience substantial control over what happens. Participation is strongly encouraged, although those who prefer not to participate are not required to do so. Ontroerend Goed is known for self-devised work rooted in the present moment, with unpredictability in both content and form.
