Peace in Broken Pieces: Opening Reception

Peace in Broken Pieces: Opening Reception launches multidisciplinary artist Simone Agoussoye’s solo exhibition on healing, vulnerability, resilience, self-worth, and personal transformation. Through portraiture, reflective surfaces, and broken and crushed glass, the exhibition considers how people can find peace and wholeness without returning to who they were before experiencing hardship.

The opening reception invites guests to view the exhibition for the first time, meet Agoussoye, listen to music, enjoy refreshments, and reflect on the process of becoming. The work follows a visual progression through The Breaking, The Pieces, The Peace, and Wholeness, centered on the question of whether something can be broken and still remain whole.
