VOCES8
Grammy Award-nominated British a cappella ensemble VOCES8 makes its George Mason University Center for the Arts debut with *Let’s Fly Away*, an uplifting program showcasing the range, flexibility, and expressive power of the human voice. The performance draws on more than five centuries of music, moving among sacred polyphony, romantic choral works, contemporary songs, jazz standards, folk melodies, and well-known pop classics.
Known for its polished ensemble singing and wide-ranging repertoire, VOCES8 has performed at major venues including Wigmore Hall and the Sydney Opera House. The ensemble is also recognized as one of the world’s leading streaming classical vocal groups, with repertoire extending from modern popular music and jazz to classical works more than 800 years old.
