CJM After Sunset: Party in the Sukkah is an after-hours celebration of the high holidays at the Capital Jewish Museum. The evening takes place in the Museum’s sukkah and includes drinks available for purchase, creative activities, a community service project, and short spotlight talks exploring the Museum’s collections and upcoming programming.

Presented in partnership with Edlavitch DC JCC’s Center for Social Responsibility, the event invites guests to make vision boards for the new year and assemble fall care packages for people experiencing homelessness. The event is restricted to guests age 21 and older.

Tickets: Members: $8; General Admission: $12; Chai: $18

Activities: Etrog fizzes will be available for purchase. Guests can create DIY vision boards for the new year and participate in assembling fall care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Spotlight Talks: 6:00 p.m., “Politically Collect,” featuring recently acquired political buttons presented in time for election season; 6:30 p.m., a preview of the upcoming exhibition *Esther Bubley: Photographing the Homefront*; 7:00 p.m., an exploration of Sukkot in the viral “Jewseum” Judaica Education Collection.

Age restriction: Guests must be 21 or older.
