MAYONNAISE
MAYONNAISE, a Washington, DC-based band known for blending indie sleaze guitars with emo-tinged beats and frenetic lyrics, headlines a night of eclectic original music at Songbyrd Music House. Inspired by early-2000s indie classics, the group describes their sound as the “secret ingredient for your sonic sandwich.” They are joined by two supporting acts: Black Wolf & the Thief, a genre-bending duo from Warren, OH, who fuse soul, rock, groove, and jazz-infused piano with powerhouse vocals, drawing comparisons to The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Glass Animals, and Leon Bridges; and Vivian Grey, a trans singer-songwriter, producer, and music educator who creates intimate, queer-focused songs exploring love, trauma, sacrifice, and hope.
