Be Kind, Rewind

Be Kind, Rewind follows two bumbling video-store clerks who accidentally erase the footage from every tape in their store. Believing the shop to be the birthplace of jazz musician Fats Waller, they try to save the business by re-creating the films themselves with a single camera and no budget. Their project eventually leads to an original documentary about Waller’s life.

Written and directed by Michel Gondry, the film stars Jack Black, Mos Def, Danny Glover, and Mia Farrow. It is a comedic film about friendship, creativity, and the lengths people will go to preserve a local business.
