Compagnie HERVÉ KOUBI

Compagnie HERVÉ KOUBI, led by Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi, makes its debut at the Center for the Arts with the program *Sol Invictus*. Drawing from Algerian and Mediterranean culture, the company fuses contemporary and urban dance, capoeira, and martial arts into gravity-defying movement set to music by Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson, with excerpts by Steve Reich and digital composer Maxime Bodson. Praised by *The New York Times* (“They fly. They spin. They change how you see the amazing!”) and *The New Yorker* (“Compagnie HERVÉ KOUBI renders movement into poetry”), this performance is appropriate for all ages and will be audio described.

When: Saturday, October 24, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.

Showtimes: One performance at 7:30 p.m.; a pre-performance discussion begins one hour prior to the show.

Tickets: $65, $55, $45, with half-price for youth through Grade 12; prices include all fees. A limited quantity of free tickets is available for Mason students, offered two Tuesdays before the event.

Run time: Approximately 75 minutes with no intermission.
