Jay Pharoah

Jay Pharoah returns to the DC Improv for his second headlining weekend at the club, bringing a stand-up show shaped by his sharp pop-culture observations, personal stories, and celebrated celebrity impressions. Known for six seasons on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” Pharoah has also hosted game shows, starred in film and television, and continued to tour comedy clubs nationwide.

His recent work includes hosting FOX’s “The Quiz With Balls,” which was renewed for a second season, and releasing his 2024 comedy special “Jared” on YouTube. In that special, he explores pop culture, his suburban upbringing, a run-in with the law, self-discovery, and resilience. His screen credits include “The Blackening,” “Spinning Gold,” “Out of Office,” “Running on Empty,” “Resort to Love,” “Private Property,” “All My Life,” “Bad Hair,” “2 Minutes of Fame,” “White Famous,” and “The Mitchells vs. the Machines,” along with appearances in “Family Guy,” “The Simpsons,” “BoJack Horseman,” and “Robot Chicken.”

About the Performer: Pharoah became widely known for his spot-on impressions during his six-season “Saturday Night Live” run. He later starred as Floyd Mooney in Showtime’s “White Famous,” hosted and produced Nickelodeon’s “Unfiltered,” and played J.J. Evans in ABC’s Emmy-winning “Live in Front of a Studio Audience” productions of “All in the Family” and “Good Times.”
