Guerilla Toss

Guerilla Toss, the NYC-based experimental dance-punk band, brings its imaginative and unapologetically eclectic sound to Songbyrd Music House. Active since 2011, the group is associated with a wide-ranging musical community that includes slacker punk, psychedelic improvisation, and ’90s alternative influences.

The event’s background centers on the band’s recording sessions for its album *You’re Weird Now* in Vermont. During those sessions, frontwoman Kassie Carlson shared communal “punk lunches” with producer Stephen Malkmus of Pavement and The Jicks, Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio, engineer Bryce Goggin, and Phish engineer Ben Collette. These collaborations reflect Guerilla Toss’s role as a creative bridge between several unconventional corners of the music world.
