The Secrets of Easter Island (Finally) Revealed

The Picnic Theatre Company presents *The Secrets of Easter Island, Finally Revealed!* at Dupont Underground, taking audiences on a humorous, provocative journey through the mysteries surrounding Easter Island’s monumental stone idols. Drawing on the kinds of supernatural and extraterrestrial theories popularized by programs such as *Ancient Aliens* and *In Search Of*, the production follows explorers, entrepreneurs, journalists, scholars, and determined truth seekers as they pursue answers across centuries.

Directed and written by Steve Rochlin, the site-specific theater production is based on a true story and forms part of Picnic Theatre Company’s signature blend of performance and social gathering. The company has staged its all-volunteer productions in museums, historic houses, arts venues, and diplomatic spaces since 2010, donating performance proceeds to museums and arts and education charities.
