Grief Group
Grief Group is a free, monthly peer-support gathering at Sixth & I Historic Synagogue for people in their 20s and 30s who have lost a loved one. The group creates a welcoming space to talk about grief in its many forms and to connect with others in the community who have had similar experiences of loss. The August 19, 2026 session starts at 6:30 pm ET and requires advance RSVP through the synagogue’s interest form.
Though grief can feel isolating, this group is designed to help people process loss together through shared experience and mutual support. It is not a therapy group: sessions are not led by a trained therapist or mental health professional, and the gathering is not a substitute for professional services. Filling out the interest form does not guarantee placement in a group, and questions can be directed to Christy, the Director of Community Engagement.
