Rusty Sal returns to Glen Echo Park’s Bumper Car Pavilion for an evening of classic country music and dancing. The event begins with a beginner two-step lesson, followed by live music for dancers throughout the evening. No previous dance experience is required, and attendees do not need to bring a partner.

Rusty Sal is an all-staff ensemble of Baltimore Americana musicians. Alex Lacquement provides upright bass and leads the two-step lesson, EJ Shaull-Thompson plays drums, Lucas Chohany plays lead guitar, and singer Letitia VanSant supplies the group’s high, Dolly Parton-inspired vocals.

Venue: Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park

Schedule: Doors open at 7:00 p.m. The beginner two-step lesson runs from 7:30 to 8:00 p.m., followed by dancing with the band from 8:00 to 10:30 p.m.

Tickets: Discounted advance tickets are $22 online only. Advance sales end at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, October 15. Dual-Dance Ticket: An advance dual-dance ticket is $40 and includes the October 15 Zydeco Dance with Horace Trahan & the Ossun Express and this October 16 Honky Tonk Dance with Rusty Sal. It is available online only, with advance sales ending at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14. A same-day dual-dance ticket is $45 and can be purchased online or at the door; online sales end at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15.
