HANA STRETTON

British/Australian composer, singer, and producer Hana Stretton brings her warm, spacious folk and electronic music to Songbyrd Music House on October 4, 2026. Known for her remarkably gentle production and wide-open songwriting, Stretton earned a devoted following with her 2023 debut album *Soon*, which was lovingly reissued by Phil Elverum (of Mount Eerie and The Microphones) on his own label in 2024. Elverum praised her as an artist who "has entered completely into the stream where creation originates" and who "has truly recorded the deep flourishing sound of a quiet listening mind in full blossom." For this show, Stretton is presenting songs from her forthcoming album *tiarn* (set for release summer 2026), which shifts the setting from the Australian bushland to the Pacific Ocean and incorporates classical and electronic flourishes. The evening is open to all ages.
