Honky Tonk Dance with Karen Collins & the Backroads Band

Enjoy an evening of authentic country music and social dancing with Karen Collins & the Backroads Band at Glen Echo Park. The band’s vintage honky-tonk sound features shuffles, two-steps, slow “buckle-polishing” tunes, and early rockabilly selections.

Admission includes a beginner two-step lesson led by Sharon Schiliro and Michael Hart of Dancing by the Bayou, followed by live music and open dancing. No experience or special partner is indicated as required.

Showtimes: Doors open at 7:00pm. The beginner two-step lesson runs from 7:30pm to 8:00pm, followed by dancing with the band from 8:00pm to 10:30pm.

Tickets: Discounted advance tickets are $22 and are available online only through 11:59pm on Thursday, October 29. Same-day tickets are $27 and may be purchased online or at the door with cash, check, or credit card. An online-only $40 advance dual-dance ticket includes this event and the August 21, 2026 Honky Tonk Dance with Agalisiga Mackey; dual-ticket sales end at 11:59pm on Thursday, August 20. All sales are final.
