Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using DC Arts Events, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

DC Arts Events aggregates arts and culture event listings from museums, galleries, venues, and arts organizations in the DC area, and uses your stated and inferred preferences to surface a personalized, curated feed of events. Event details (dates, times, locations, pricing) are sourced from third-party venues and organizations and may change or contain inaccuracies outside of our control. Always confirm event details with the venue before attending.

We do not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or availability of any event listing, and we are not responsible for the conduct of any venue, organization, or third party referenced in the Service.

Accounts and Eligibility

• You must create an account (via Google or Apple sign-in) to use the Service, and you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate account information and promptly update it if it changes.
• The Service is not directed at children under the age of 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Billing

• New accounts receive a free 14-day trial. After the trial ends, continued access to the Service requires an active paid subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed and managed through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system, and are subject to Apple's own terms and payment processing.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or Apple's refund policies.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or access the Service's data or infrastructure other than through the app itself.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or its networks.
• Share your account credentials with others or use the Service on behalf of anyone other than yourself.

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, software, and branding, is owned by DC Arts Events and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Event listing data is aggregated from public third-party sources and remains the property of its respective owners. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Service except as permitted by normal use of the app.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that event information will be accurate or complete. Your use of the Service, and any decision to attend an event discovered through it, is at your own risk.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DC Arts Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via the Feedback section in Settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the District of Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
