Titilayo Ayangade and Edwin Kaplan

Titilayo Ayangade and Edwin Kaplan, performing together as Duo Kayo, bring a genre-bending neo-classical program of cello and viola to Strathmore’s Mansion. The duo explores music old and new through an imaginative, collaborative lens, pairing the multi-dimensional cellist Titilayo Ayangade with the widely traveled violist Edwin Kaplan for an evening of adult contemporary classical performance.

Ayangade has toured with Sphinx Virtuosi, Palaver Strings, Contemporaneous, and Alarm Will Sound, and performs regularly with ensembles including Orchestra of St. Luke’s, Chamber Orchestra of America, and Joshua Bell’s conductorless ensemble. Kaplan has built a distinguished career spanning several decades, appearing at Wigmore Hall, Lincoln Center, Banff, the Library of Congress, and the Se-Jeong Performing Arts Center in Seoul, among other prestigious concert series across North America, Europe, and Asia.
