Steven Isserlis

Cellist Steven Isserlis, widely regarded as one of the greatest cellists of our time, presents a rare chamber recital at the intimate Dumbarton Concerts Gallery. Joined by his longtime collaborator, pianist Connie Shih, Isserlis offers an evening of beautifully curated works for cello and piano, pairing Brahms's mercurial Cello Sonata No. 2 with Beethoven variations and a Schumann sonata arranged by Isserlis himself. The program showcases both virtuosity and deep musical intelligence in an up-close setting.
