Silkroad Ensemble featuring Cécile McLorin Salvant

The Grammy Award-winning Silkroad Ensemble returns to George Mason University’s Center for the Arts for the fifth consecutive season, joined by U.S.-raised French-Haitian composer and vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant. This world-premiere program, part of the Mason Artist-in-Residence series, promises a rich fusion of improvisation, tradition, and musical discovery. Salvant, described as “one of the most daring and resourceful vocalists in jazz—or any other genre,” brings her deep passion for storytelling through blues, folk, baroque, and vaudeville to the Ensemble’s cross-cultural explorations.

When: Saturday, April 10, 2027, at 7:30 p.m.

Showtimes: A single performance at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets: $80, $65, and $50; half-price for youth through Grade 12. Prices include fees.
