Liza Treyger

Liza Treyger returns to the DC Improv for a two-night stand-up engagement in the club’s main room, January 22–23, 2027. Known for bold, feminist comedy and stories drawn from immigrant life, Treyger has built a following through Netflix, Comedy Central, and HBO appearances. The club notes that after performing in its lounge showroom in 2022, she moved up to the main showroom for runs in 2023 and 2025, and returns there in 2027. Her comedy is described as funny and candid, shaped in part by her family’s emigration from Ukraine when she was a child, and she has gained momentum in stand-up while also working in TV, film, and podcasts. She is the co-host of the podcast “That’s Messed Up,” which recaps episodes of Law & Order: SVU, and she also hosts her own podcast, “Enemies.”

Treyger’s recent credits include the Judd Apatow film The King of Staten Island and HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay. She has released half-hour specials on Netflix and Comedy Central, and her television appearances include Late Night with Seth Meyers, Chelsea Lately, @midnight, Lights Out with David Spade, This Is Not Happening, Horace and Pete, and many other programs.
