The Music of Joe Hisaishi

The Music of Joe Hisaishi brings the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to the stage for an evening dedicated to one of the most celebrated film and concert composers of our time. Best known globally for his enduring scores for Studio Ghibli animated films and more than 100 motion pictures, Joe Hisaishi is also recognized as a leading figure in contemporary symphonic music. The program is described as immersive, spanning the breadth of his output from concert-hall compositions to screen music, and is conducted by Jiannan Cheng. While the performance takes place at Strathmore's venue, it is presented by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, not by Strathmore itself.
