Living the Dream … Singing the Dream

Living the Dream … Singing the Dream is a choral tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., presented by Washington Performing Arts in collaboration with the Choral Arts Society of Washington. The performance brings together the combined Men, Women, and Children of the Gospel choirs of Washington Performing Arts alongside the Choral Arts Symphonic Chorus, all raising their voices in celebration of Dr. King’s legacy. The event has attracted tens of thousands of attendees over its decade-long run, and this year’s installment promises the same joyous and inspiring atmosphere, honoring both Dr. King’s achievements and his enduring impact on community and spirit.

Conductors: David Powell and Michele Fowlin lead the Washington Performing Arts Gospel Choirs, while Marie Bucoy-Calavan serves as artistic director of The Choral Arts Society of Washington.

Performers: Combined Men, Women, and Children of the Gospel choirs of Washington Performing Arts, as well as the Choral Arts Symphonic Chorus.
