Dan and Peggy Reeder

Dan and Peggy Reeder bring a family folk performance to Union Stage, pairing the distinctive songwriting of cult-favorite folk artist Dan Reeder with the vocals of his daughter, Peggy Reeder. The two have been performing together over the past couple of years, with Peggy’s voice adding a fresh spark to Dan’s deeply human, sharp-witted songs. Dan Reeder’s 2024 album *Smithereens* reinforced his standing as one of folk’s most original voices, and the pair followed it with a sold-out West Coast tour after two sold-out Nashville shows during AmericanaFest. Their growing profile reached a high point at the Newport Folk Festival, where they joined Jack Antonoff during his Ally Coalition Talent Show set, performing “Maybe” alongside special guests including Waxahatchee and Weyes Blood. That same set featured appearances by Hayley Williams, Jeff Tweedy, Rufus Wainwright, and Maren Morris, placing Reeder among some of folk and indie’s most admired artists. Signed personally by the late John Prine, Reeder remains the longest-running artist on Oh Boy Records, and his music has attracted fans such as Phoebe Bridgers, Maya Hawke, and Paul Mescal.
