SHE: A Celebration in Sound

SHE: A Celebration in Sound is a special concert presented by Washington Performing Arts as part of the Mars Arts D.C. Concert Series at Songbyrd Music House. The event kicks off Women’s History Month by featuring Be’La Dona, Washington D.C.’s all-female go-go band. Each member brings deep local roots, having studied at institutions such as Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Howard University, and Bowie State University, and collectively they draw from backgrounds in gospel, jazz, rock, and R&B. The evening promises lively go-go-infused renditions of classic radio hits, original music, and more in a free, community-focused celebration of women in sound.
