A Voyage of the Soul: Music of Beethoven and Vaughan Williams
A Voyage of the Soul brings together Beethoven’s groundbreaking *Choral Fantasy* and Ralph Vaughan Williams’s expansive *A Sea Symphony* in a large-scale choral and orchestral concert. The program explores the power of music, artistic collaboration, community, human exploration, and the vastness of the ocean.
The performance features The City Choir of Washington, the Washington National Opera Orchestra, vocal soloists from the University of Maryland faculty, and the winner of the UMD/City Choir Beethoven piano competition. It will take place in Dekelboum Concert Hall, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center’s largest concert space.
