Newmyer Flyer Presents LAUREL CANYON: Golden Songs of Los Angeles 1966-’73

Newmyer Flyer presents “LAUREL CANYON: Golden Songs of Los Angeles 1966–’73,” a live celebration of the legendary music created in Los Angeles and Laurel Canyon during the late 1960s and early 1970s. The show brings together accomplished Washington, D.C.-area musicians to perform classics associated with more than a dozen influential bands and artists.

The repertoire includes songs connected to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Buffalo Springfield, Joni Mitchell, Jackson Browne, the Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt, the Monkees, Spirit, the Byrds, the Doors, Carole King, Glen Campbell, the Eagles, and others. Featured songs include “So You Want to Be a Rock ’n’ Roll Star,” “For What It’s Worth,” “California Dreamin’,” “Carry On,” “Desperado,” “Doctor My Eyes,” “God Only Knows,” “Put a Little Love in Your Heart,” “I Got a Line on You,” “Both Sides Now,” “Kicks,” and “You’ve Got a Friend.”
