BABY SHOWER KATIE
Baby Shower Katie is a world-premiere comedy presented by Round House Theatre as part of the Bonnie Hammerschlag National Capital New Play Festival. Written by Beth Hyland and directed by Jessica Fisch, the play follows lifelong best friends Rebecca and Hannah as they navigate their divergent desires around motherhood across four baby showers—all thrown for three different women named Katie. Hyland’s irreverent script explores the societal pressures and internal conflicts surrounding pregnancy, asking what happens when the life you thought you wanted no longer fits the person you are becoming. This production is a co-world premiere with Primary Stages in New York City.
