7th Street Echo is a world-premiere play written by Paige Hernandez and directed by Reginald L. Douglas, presented by Mosaic Theater Company. The story follows Candela, a young woman determined to pursue a music career and continue her father’s legacy as a drummer, while her mother envisions a different path for her. As Candela balances studies and late-night gigs, family secrets surface, loyalties are tested, and she is pushed to forge her own identity against the backdrop of her family’s history. The production features live Go-Go music and spoken word, celebrating Washington, D.C.’s music and culture while exploring the strength of a family’s love. It is suitable for audiences of all ages.

Showtimes: Previews are Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday performances. Regular performances follow the same schedule: Thursday and Friday evenings, plus Saturday and Sunday matinees or evenings.
