The Bodyguard is a touring Broadway production presented at the National Theatre, based on the 1992 film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. This international award-winning smash-hit musical combines high-stakes suspense with a heart-pounding romance: former Secret Service agent Frank Farmer is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker, and both discover an unexpected love. The show features a catalogue of unforgettable classics including “Queen of the Night,” “So Emotional,” “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “Saving All My Love,” and “One Moment in Time,” alongside thrilling plot twists and emotional drama. It has been described as a “runaway gold-plated musical hit” by the Daily Mail, “brilliant” by The Times, and “exciting, thrilling, uplifting, moving” by the Southern Daily Echo.

Venue: National Theatre, located at 1321 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Washington, DC 20004, surrounded by dining, parking, and D.C. landmarks, with exclusive pre-theatre menus at participating restaurants.

Showtimes: Tuesday, May 18 at 7:30 pm; Wednesday, May 19 at 7:30 pm; Thursday, May 20 at 7:30 pm; Friday, May 21 at 7:30 pm; Saturday, May 22 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm; Sunday, May 23 at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm.

Run time: 2 hours 10 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission.

Ages: Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Content Advisory: This production contains repetitive flashing lights and visual effects, pyrotechnics, smoke and haze, gunshots, loud sound effects, and scenes of mild peril.

Tickets: Individual ticket pricing is not available at this time. Season tickets and group tickets (for parties of 10 or more) are available; group inquiries can be made via the National Theatre website. The show is also part of a season package.
