The Who’s Tommy
A touring Broadway production of *The Who’s Tommy* comes to the National Theatre for a limited engagement. This fresh reinvention of the iconic 1969 rock opera, originally created by The Who, retells the story of young Tommy Walker, who becomes lost in a catatonic state after witnessing a traumatic event and rises to fame as a pinball savant. Featuring classic anthems such as “I’m Free,” “See Me, Feel Me,” “Sensation,” and “Pinball Wizard,” the production is directed by Des McAnuff and choreographed by Lorin Latarro, with music and lyrics by Pete Townshend. The show runs approximately 100 minutes with no intermission and is recommended for audiences ages 16 and up due to depictions of bullying, substance abuse, war, loud music, gunshots, theatrical haze, and strobe/flashing lights.
