The Monsters

A poignant, funny, and tender story of sibling rivalry and devotion, *The Monsters* is a world-premiere play that follows a mixed martial artist whose life is upended when his little sister shows up at his door after sixteen years. He takes her in and trains her to become the next big fighter, but as her skills grow and she forms her own ideas about the sport and its darker side, their long-standing dynamic begins to crack. The siblings struggle with hidden selves, loss, and the strength it takes to let go, fighting both with and for each other in a knockout bout to become each other’s ultimate champion. Praised by the *San Francisco Chronicle* as a work that “hits hard and hugs harder,” the play is written by Ngozi Anyanwu and directed by Tiffany Nichole Greene.

Pride Nights on March 5 at 8 PM and March 12 at 8 PM include a lively post-show reception for the LGBTQ community, family, and friends. A Black Affinity Night takes place on March 7 at 7:30 PM.
